Here We Are

Hello!

We are the boys and girls in Room 2.

We drew ourselves. Here are some of our drawings!

We put our handprints and finger prints on a page with our picture and names. We are all special and different!
Names have been blacked out for security reasons.

We learned the song Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. This helps us remember the parts of our bodies.

It's all about Red

Last week we learned about red.

Again we made a red table and brought in red things from home.

We drew red things in our copies.

We made giant red pictures with our friends in our groups. Here they are hanging up in our classroom.

We sorted toys into sets of red and sets of not red.

Say Hello to... Yellow!

We learned all about the colour yellow.

We thought of lots of things that are yellow - like the sun, flowers and bananas!
We played "I spy with my little eye something the colour yellow."
We went on a colour hunt and made a yellow table.

We also brought in yellow things from home to put on it.

We made giant yellow pictures in our groups. We worked together to glue and stick.

Don't they look fantastic on the wall?

We worked as a class to sort lots of objects into a set of yellow and a set of not yellow.

We worked in groups of three to sort some of the toys in our classroom. First we sorted them how we liked.

The second time we sorted them into sets of yellow and sets of not yellow.

We are in Junior Infants

We started big school four weeks ago. We are settling in great!

Here are some pictures from our first day in school. We are all becoming good friends.
