Marvellous Aistear in May

We had new activities for Aistear for the month of May.

The Library Role-Play

We used the library in our classroom. We made a desk for the librarian with a computer, a stamp, library cards and order forms. We pretended to be the librarian, the library assistant and the visitors to the library.

Cutting and Fine Motor Skills

We cut out four ships. We sequenced the rhyme Old Mother Hubbard. We made a caterpillar, sequencing his body from number 1-5.

Building Block Construction

We were so good at the building in April that we kept building this month. Here are some of our creations. We used different blocks the last week of Aistear in May. We tested which shapes were good for building and which were not! Some shapes are really good for stacking. We checked which shapes slide and which roll.

Play Dough Construction

We made whatever we liked using play dough.

The Town Small World

We had buildings and small characters set up on our small world table.
