Did you hear about Humpty Dumpty?

We have been learning the rhyme Humpty Dumpty.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

We made our own Humpty Dumpty! We had to put him back together.

Here he is up on that dangerous wall!

We sequenced the rhyme.

First we had to colour the four pictures.

Then we cut them out.

Finally we stuck them on a strip of paper in the correct order.

One day teacher brought in an egg. We dropped it onto a basin. The shell cracked into a lot of pieces. We couldn't put it back together! We had a good look at the yellow yolk and the broken shell. We hope Humpty Dumpty didn't crack like that when he fell!

We finished the wall for Humpty Dumpty in our writing book. We did a great job!
