Happy Mother's Day!

We love to make our mammies feel special. This Mother's Day we had two presents for our mammies.

We walked to Newlands Garden Centre last Thursday. We walked in twos. We walked up through the top yard and through the grounds of Scoil Íde to get to the main road. We walked on the path.

When we got to the garden centre we wrote our names on little cards. We went out to the back and planted primroses and daffodils into a little basket. We carried the baskets back to school. That evening we gave the flower baskets to our mammies for mother's day.

We also made a beautiful tulip picture. Earlier in the week we used our handprint to make the flower and painted a green stem underneath.

On Friday we coloured the "Happy Mother's Day" that is written on top of the page.

We read the story "I Love My Mummy" before we went home that evening.

We hope all the mammies had a great day on Sunday.
