Travel and Transport

We learned all about Travel and Transport during February.

We drew some vehicles. We talked about where they travel and the different parts of the vehicles.

We drew cars. A car travels on the road.

We drew trains. A train travels on the tracks.

We drew boats. A boat travels on the sea.

We drew airplanes. An airplane flies in the sky.

When we had the writing box in the morning we drew more vehicles!

We sorted vehicles into air, water and land vehicles.

We matched vehicles to where they travel.

We sorted old and new vehicles.

This is our journey from home to school. We drew the things we see on our way.

We sequenced going on a bus.

We acted it out too!

We learned the rhyme Here comes the big red bus.


During Aistear we played with the cars and we played in the travel agents shop. We used a lot of language to do with travel and vehicles.

We learned the rhyme There Was an Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe. We drew shoe houses. Here they are up on the wall.
