That is how we say Happy Christmas in Irish!
We are getting so excited for Christmas.
We have been using the shapes we know to make Christmas artwork.
We cut out triangles and handprints to make a reindeer's head. We used white circles for eyes and we scrunched up red crepe paper ribbons to make the nose. Then we glued the handprints, eyes and nose to the triangle face!
We cut out three green triangles to make a Christmas tree. We stuck on a tree trunk and used paint and cotton buds to make the baubles.
Don't they look fantastic up on the walls!
We had Catherine from the Magic of Music visit us earlier today. She teaches music. We had so much fun with her. She told us the story of the Nutcracker.
The Nutcracker is a ballet from a long long time ago. We danced to the music. The girls played the parts of the evil mice and the boys played the soldiers. They had to pretend fight until a show hit the King Mouse and knocked him to the floor!
Then we listened to Christmas songs and used instruments to accompany the music.
Please come back soon Catherine!
