Sammy Square and Fun with Shapes!

We learned about the square this past week.

We say this rhyme about squares.

Sammy Square is my name
My four sides are just the same
Turn me round, I don't care
I'm always the same, I'm Sammy Square

When looking for a square we have to be really careful about checking the sides - the sides must be the same size! Otherwise it's not a square!

We made a square table.

We found the squares in our maths book.

We drew squares. We did our best to make sure the sides were the same size.

We listened to this song this week.

We made pictures using the flat shapes we have in the classroom. We used our imaginations and came up with some great ideas!
